Mail Planes II

First mail airplane
1925. First mail airplane to arrive from New Orleans sitting on an airfield. Image of a mail airplane, the first to arrive from New Orleans, sitting on an airfield in Chicago, Illinois. A crowd is standing in the background. Text on image reads: First mail plane from sunny south, New Orleans. Chicago Daily News Photo from: Hello New Orleans URL

The book below indicates that the first mail plane came to New Orleans in 1912,
but the Hello New Orleans photo, above, cite that the first flight was in 1925.
Included on Hellow New Orleans were photos of the pilots:
Lieutenant V.J. Meloy and Captain Herbert Fox, pilots of first mail plane from
New Orleans 1925.
It is impossible to create the second air mail trip to New Orleans in 1912,
if the first flight was in 1925. So who is right?

Hello New Orleans? or the Louisiana Writers Project?
