Seeking new members

Louisiana Genealogy Blog is attempting to gather genealogy bloggers in Southeastern US and Louisiana. It is associated with Yahoo Groups of the same name and has other Group affiliations on Google, MSN and a site on Geocities/Yahoo 360* that links to a genealogy news feeder on Bloglines. The reader links to over 255 genealogy blogs and news sites in Louisiana & the Southeastern U.S.  You can access those from the blog on Blogger. The feeds include links to the RootsWeb Louisiana parish mailing lists.

The Yahoo Group, Louisiana Genealogy Blogs is accepting new members. This groups messages post on an RSS feed on the blog, Louisiana Genealogy Blog, which is run by the Group owner.

This WordPress website is seeking genealogy bloggers from Louisiana. WordPress is simple to use. Just create a user name and begin blogging your genealogy interests @ Louisiana Genealogy Blogs.

My heritage allows users to create their family trees and share them with other family historians from Louisiana. Not only does it allow for GedCom family trees, but it also allows your family to have a forum, news, links, polls, and a guestbook. These can be accessed from the Activities menu.

Our Story is another great way to share your family information and your stories. It offers a timeline for your family or personal events and stories. There are also questions sets that can help you create your timeline. It also has a Family & Friends link, much like the neighborhoods and communities of My Blog Log and Blogcatalog.

The Yahoo Groups page has links to Geocities Louisiana sites on , Yahoo Groups, WebRings, and MSN Groups about Louisiana. I have not found many news articles or feeds on Louisiana Genealogy, but I will be surfing newspapers for items of interest from across the state and making posts as I find them of interest. I would like other Louisiana Genealogy information submitted to this blog and have made the email post option public – I think! You can email me to post to the blog @ Blogger or after joining the Yahoo Group, Louisiana Genealogy news, family surname information, general genealogy info, and road blocks or questions.   1. Hey! If you have wandered in here don’t think that this site is just old and not updated. I’ve switched from Geocities site and moved over to WebNG. You can post to the Forum on WebNG and it will Louisiana genealogy TWITTER for you!
